Winter has officially arrived, and while you’re buying new winter coats and hats, don’t forget to purchase new beauty essentials as well. The winter weather will surely do a number on your skin, and hair. But, here are my favorite products to fight the winter weather. Also, I added a few essentials that I am OBSESSED with, and use year round.
The Progressive Peel by Beauty RX
About 6 months ago, I was introduced to the PEEL BAR. It’s a glycolic peel, that literally takes 10 minutes. Immediately after the service, you will notice glowing, smoother skin, and there is no redness or irritation afterwards. After completing the service, you must purchase The Progressive Peel. It’s an at home glycolic system that maintains the glow, in between peels. It’s a 3 step process, that lasts 6 weeks, including a nightly serum, exfoliating pads, and exfoliating cream.
Fresh- Hesperides Grapefruit, Eau De Parfum
This product is one of my year round essentials that I swear by, especially during the winter months. FRESH Parfum, is super light and lasts all day. For me, I wear a lighter fragrance during the winter months for several reasons. The #1 reason, is the close contact with New Yorkers on the train. My morning commute is crazy. Sometimes I’m standing face to face with another commuter, and the last thing I want to think about or smell is their overpowering perfume or cologne. So, I guess you could say, I’m being considerate of my fellow Rush Hour Commuters by wearing a light frangrance perfume.
ALOHA- The Foundation Supplements
I swear, I try to be healthy, but let’s be real. It is HARD to focus in New York City. Everyday there’s a new restaurant opening, a donut being shoved down your throat, or a co worker making you rice and beans with curry chicken. But, ALOHA, The Foundation pouch of nutrients is the perfect boost. These 5 supplements will increase energy, enhance focus, and improve your skin.
The best lip balm…. EVER. The End.
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics- Lip Tar
Of course my favorite lip color from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar is “Hoochie!” I giggled the first time I realized that. Cruelty free, and PETA certified, OCC Lip Tar is the SHIT. The high pigment liquid allows you to use less than a pea sized amount, and lasts for up to 6 hours. My favorite part is that it has a matte finish.
L’OCCITANE- Pure Shea Butter
100% natural/organic, this Pure Shea Butter is my ultimate Winter Essential. This balm will regenerate the dryest skin. Trust me, this beauty product will change your life.
ORIBE- Split End Seal
Repairs up to 94% of split ends after 1 use, and reduces breakage by 65%… I think my dreams have been answered. Apply a small amount to damp or dry hair, and immediately feel and see the difference. Winter winds, blow dryers, or flat irons don’t stand a chance.
Nourishing Moisture Cream by Beauty RX
Best if used in collaboration with The Progressive Peel, take home system. The light weight oil free cream, is perfect for all skin types and encourages collagen production.
ORIBE- Cote d’Azur
Maybe I’m thinking about my next vacation but the new ORIBE fragrance is LIFE. The unisex scent from top hair care line, Oribe, is amazing. The light, floral scent is perfect for day or night.
Joanna Vargas- Rejuvenating Serum
This nourishing anti wrinkle serum is a MUST. Try mixing Rejuvenating Serum with your moisturizer every night. The immediate radiance is amazing. This light weight serum will fight against aging and restore the natural glow to your complexion.
I mean, what can Coconut Oil NOT do? I literally use this for everything… lotion or balm (just mix with shea butter), lightening age spots, after shave lotion, on split ends to de-frizz, cuticle oil to help nail growth, and scalp oil to help hair growth. If Coconut Oil could send me screenshots of funny things on Instagram, we would be BFF’s.
SHU UEMURA- Moisture Velvet Nourishing Conditioner (for dry hair)
The struggle is real when it comes to keeping locks moisturized. One of my go to products is SHU UEMURA’s, moisture velvet conditioner. For advanced penetration, once conditioner is applied, cover your hair with a hot towel for about 10 minutes.
