birthday cards from my loving friends & family
birthday’s have always been special to me. I remember growing up, and having parties. the entire family would come to my house, everyone would sing the “happy birthday” song and I would make a wish and blow out the candles. my parents would give me great gifts, and my siblings and cousins would hug me all day. It was always a great time. I’ve always looked forward to april 3rd, and 31 years later… ain’t shit changed!!
i seriously have the greatest friends… they came from all over the country to celebrate with me. One even surprised me!
I am obsessed with the chunky shoe fashion, I love solid platforms. Unfortunately, I can’t wear them since I stand all day for work. After about an hour my feet start to KILL and soon to follow in agony, are my legs and back.
3 reasons why I’m obsessed with Amanda
- She’s a talented hair stylist at Butterfly Studio Salon
- She understands me… If I give someone a side eye, she knows exactly how I feel. No explanation needed.
- She’s in the top 5 Best Dressed, out of everyone I know. Hands Down.

When I think about growing up, and being a teenager, I remember HATING winter. Probably because I wasn’t into vintage fashion back then, who knows… oh, and because summers in Philly are pretty much epic. But today, I can say I appreciate the season. It’s just that time of year that makes me grateful to have/ had two great women in my life. My grandmother’s, the late great Amelia Virginia Wright, and the amazing Ira Mae Salter. Both taught me their personal definition of style and I am so thankful.
Thank you for this beauty Ira Mae!
