birthday cards from my loving friends & family
birthday’s have always been special to me. I remember growing up, and having parties. the entire family would come to my house, everyone would sing the “happy birthday” song and I would make a wish and blow out the candles. my parents would give me great gifts, and my siblings and cousins would hug me all day. It was always a great time. I’ve always looked forward to april 3rd, and 31 years later… ain’t shit changed!!
i seriously have the greatest friends… they came from all over the country to celebrate with me. One even surprised me!
the MOORE’s. john & shawanda.
An entire week later, and I still can’t believe my friend is a WIFE. Clearly it was in the cards for her, as her nickname amongst friends is “Martha Stewart.” But, the thought of knowing it’s finally real, is CRAZZZZZY. I am so excited, and overjoyed for the MOORE’s, and wishing them a lifetime of happiness!
In the name of love and my obsession with selfies… please enjoy “selfies” of my favorite couples who attended the MOORE wedding!

the coolest wedding
- photo booth set up
In 2015, can you even say you had a “fun” wedding reception if there was no photo booth? A backdrop, camera, and props, seriously brings couples, and people together. At one point, I jumped in a picture and didn’t even know the person in the picture.
89 years YOUNG.
When I think of individuals who are in their 70’s and 80’s, Mrs. Anna Mae (pictured above) is not what comes to mind. When I tell you, Mrs. Anna Mae had better dance moves than people half her age. She danced the entire night. I was immediately obsessed with her, I mean just look at her outfit!
All you can eat taco’s, thanks to Tex’s Taco Truck. I must say, having a taco truck or any sort of food truck cater any event is genius. No fuss, guests walk up and order how much of whatever they want. You don’t have to worry about servers photo bombing your pictures, or worry about the stress of having a 4 course meal.
she keeps us classy… sometimes!
I am obsessed with the chunky shoe fashion, I love solid platforms. Unfortunately, I can’t wear them since I stand all day for work. After about an hour my feet start to KILL and soon to follow in agony, are my legs and back.
3 reasons why I’m obsessed with Amanda
- She’s a talented hair stylist at Butterfly Studio Salon
- She understands me… If I give someone a side eye, she knows exactly how I feel. No explanation needed.
- She’s in the top 5 Best Dressed, out of everyone I know. Hands Down.
Have you ever been so obsessed with someone, you HAD to feature them on your blog for 5 days straight? No? Only me?
Well after 5 days of… Amanda, you’ll understand. I want to go on and on about her creativity, uniqueness, and beauty, but I’ll let you come to that conclusion on your own.
So, the Whitney movie premiered on Lifetime over the weekend, and after the Aaliyah Lifetime movie, I was not looking forward to another biopic let down. Sure we’ve heard talk about Yaya DaCosta, who plays Whitney, being a spitting image of Whitney, but that wasn’t enough for me. Whitney Houston is in the top 3 of my all time favorite singers. I love her so much, I refer to her as “aunt Nippy.” The day she died, I was having dinner at Southern Art, in Atlanta, and famed chef Art Smith came over to my table with the news, and I’d like to faint. Saturday night, I gave in, and tuned in to watch Whitney.
After the first 10- 15 minutes or watching, I found myself actually smiling. Once I realized the movie would be more of a love story, I was all in. One thing about Whitney… she really loved Bobby Brown, and vice versa. Good or bad, those two were down for one another.
Happy 75th Birthday to my IDOL, Tina Turner… the Queen of ROCK & SOUL! When I was 17 years old, I listened to Tina Turner’s debut album Private Dancer, and fell in love. Her strong voice with her Rock and Roll style surprised me. After reading her autobiography, and watching “What’s Love got to do with it” I became completely obsessed with her.

my FAVORITE TT quote, and my motto…
If you are unhappy with anything… whatever is bringing you down, get rid of it. Because you’ll find that when you’re free, your true creativity, your true self comes out.
3 things that I LEARNED from TT:
Fringe is your BFF
Love ain’t got nothing to do with it
Women RULE the world
Outfit of the Day… TT Inspired
This is a QUEEN.
Mr. and Mrs. Alan Ferguson
Solange Knowles married her 51 year old beau, Alan Ferguson today. And everything about the pea sized amount of love they allowed the public to witness was BEAUTIFUL! Solange looked nothing short of a QUEEN standing alongside her KING.
