I came across this post on Instagram the other day, and it literally spoke to me. I am normally a huge fan of the new year, and being a “better you,” but for some reason, this new year hasn’t put any fire under my ass.
so, let’s just call February the start of the new year. I have a few goals set in place, which I did kick off in January, but in February, I plan to be 100% committed. check out a few of my goals listed below:
honestly, saving money has always been a struggle for me. I’ve never been taught how to spend and save money wisely. I’ve always spent every coin I’ve earned. sometimes on items that are frivolous, and some items that last a lifetime. but, either way, as this old age creeps up, I’ve decided to get serious about my finances. so, I recently joined a savings challenge with my close friends with the help of financial educator, Tiffany Aliche. tiffany created the live richer challenge, and in 22 days, I’ve learned so many helpful tips that have changed my outlook on money and saving.
the blizoggg is on and poppin in 2016. I took a break the last few months of 2015, but I had so much going on. but I’m back, and will be dedicating more time and love to my blog, and readers. I appreciate the notes, and constant visits to the blog while I was away on vacation, and if it wasn’t for your kind words, I would have taken another month off. so, thank you, thank you, thank you for your encouragement, and continued support… 2016, LET’S GOOOOO!
let’s go back, say… 3 years. With the exception of high school, that was the best, and happiest I’ve been with my body. not only was I happy with my body shape, but also my health and fitness overall. 3 years ago, I moved to NYC, started doing yoga 4 times a week, and was serious about my paleo lifestyle. somewhere along the line, i got hooked on cheeseburgers, empanadas, mac & cheese, crown royal, and everything in between. now that’s a hard habit to kick. so, I’m going back to what makes me happy, and ultimately what works. so, I signed up to YogaGlo, which offers online yoga classes. for the month of February, I will be joining the Fit Girls Challenge with my friends, join the challenge… it’s free!
